Coconut Creek, FL ― A fire recently destroyed Grif’s Western store, which was located on the 5700 block of U.S. 441 in Coconut Creek. The store, which was a retailer of boots, jeans, saddles, jewelry and more, was discovered to have gone up in flames shortly before sunrise on Saturday, September 4, 2010. According to firefighters who responded to the call, the inferno was so intense that firefighters from neighboring cities had to help battle the blaze.

Despite the firefighters’ best efforts, the Grif’s Western location was destroyed by the fire. While the blaze raged, one firefighter had to be treated for exhaustion. Grif’s main location in Davie is still open and company management has said the Coconut Creek store will be rebuilt.
