Containing sweeping hills and beautiful fields, Vista View Park, in the town of Davie, Florida is the perfect place to spend a fun-filled relaxing day. This park covers a little over 270 sq. acres. and is marked at sixty-five feet above sea level and is the highest manmade elevation point in Broward County. This repurposed park that was once a landfill gives visitors lots of “fun in the sun” activities including two playgrounds, great bass fishing, competitive biking trails, jogging/walking paths, paragliding, and horseback riding along a 2-mile long horse trail.

To add to the many adventures that are experienced many people gather every July 4th for free family activities, kids rides, art/craft vendors, food vendors, live music, and a spectacular display of fireworks from surrounding cities such as Ft. Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, and Davie. There is even a designated airfield area for flying drones, model planes, and remote-controlled cars. Like many parks, Vista View Park offers rentals for eight picnic areas, shelter/room rentals to accommodate 20-90 people, and a trail just under a mile long with several fitness facilities varying in level of strength and ability. The park is a host to special events throughout the year, such as cycling/running events, outdoor concerts, and different types of festivals. There is a gate fee on weekends and holidays of $1.50/person with children 5 and under receive free admission, but entry during the week is free for all ages. Furry Friends are always welcome, but the park requests they stay on their leash.
